Install hangs while looking for USB port when asked to connect cable. It only finishes if I close the box that asked me to connect the cable. It prints until the computer reboots then it only works if I reinstall software. Is there a fix for this?

  My Lexmark 83 starts to feed paper thru and then stalls; it thens makes a clicking noise; paper does not feed thru. I tried a piece of card stock but it would not take it either. How do you get into the case to check rollers, etc.?
