  • Often, as a "yuh" sort of sound. But sometimes just as "l". You need to learn the pronunciation when you learn the word. Sigh!
  • This is desperately simple! It is pronounced as the "y" in "toy" ONLY IF it is preceeded by the letter "i". In any other case, it is pronounced exactly as a single "l". Not more complicated.
  • You probably don't care about this, but in Welsh the double 'l' is pronounced chl (ch is in loch).
