That's not always the case because I've been a male 3rd partner in some very pleasurable 3-somes. These couples are still happily together.

Perhaps because of the lack of 'threat' the extra person poses. It's the 'safest' addition - no threat to the man's masculinity, no threat to his relationship, no threat to his heterosexuality. I know these aren't entirely believable or accurate (of course a person can ditch a heterosexual relationship for a same-sex one), but for many who would suggest something like this to a partner, it's fantasy initially, and nothing more, so the suggestion follows the fantasy. Not many people fantasise about things which might make them uncomfortable, hence the gender of the suggested 'extra'.

Definitely don't say it's never another guy that is suggested. I would absolutely have a threesome with my wife and another guy. As alieninastrangeland suggested, it would be about 90% to please her and have her fulfilled by a guy with a much bigger tool than mine and 10% because I'd be turned on watching it.

Wow what a good question. Complicated though. Let's see. One answer could be that he is straight and it freaks him out to have another guy aroused and naked near him and maybe he thinks the guy would want him rather than the female. Or he could be straight and have the lesbian fantacy thing going on about watching two girls.

Now if he is slightly (if you can be slightly) bi he might want a guy there and if he were secretly gay he would want a guy but not the girl!

Wouldn't it be great if he was straight and wanted a guy there to actually please her!! I think LOTS more girls would want 2 guys than another girl.

I have often wondered myself about this as finding two guys and one girl depicted even in porn is the exception rather than the norm.

The third person 'always' a female? You just haven't found the right female to start out with. The threesomes I've had with my BFs have all been MMF. Phenomenal too!

    My own opinion....

In general, girls are less threatened to mees around with another girl than they are to mess around with two penises.

well me and my bf arent going to have a threesome, but i asked him the same question, he says because even the thought of another man inside me or doing something to me sickens him... and i felt the same if a woman was doing something to him, so we decided against the idea all together.
