It's not just you, Chrysler Corp. had a big problem with paint not bonding to the primer in the early to mid 90's. You will notice many Dakota trucks of this vintage with the same problem.
not just you,I had a 01 Dodge Ram the paint peeled so bad,then other problems started the second it was paid for,I will never but another from that maker as they would do nothing about the problems I was having
The Chevy corseca was the same way, my mom & my friends had one too & everyone I knew of that had them the paint peeled & chipped just like the neon's
All North American cars were hit with this problem from certain plants. There was a bad primer or undercoating and the paint would not stay adhered to it. It was a huge problem for the big 3 manufacturers.
yeah lol. and every time i see a volkswagon beetle, there is a man driving it, with flowers on the dashboard.

You're reading Is it just my experience or do you see a lot of Dodge/Plymouth Neon cars with peeling paint?

The ones that lose all the paint are usually white or a bizarre shade of blue that borders on purple.
