  • You can always go to amazon.com to get the information about and artist, albumn, etc... I also use allmusic.net, it's very extensive. As far as programs are concerned, there are many programs out there that will allow you to edit the ID3 tags on mp3 files. (ID3 tags = just infomation stored inside the mp3 file such as artist, albumn, track number, even things like lyrics and albumn art!!!) I personally like Musicmatch. It will look up on their online database and pull down the song information, even the albumn art. You can also rename the files, organize, playback, and with the add of a plugin transfer songs to your ipod and other mp3 players (bypassing itunes, assuming you have and ipod or another mp3 player). You can also get song information out when you put in a cd. Musicmatch isn't free, but it is worth paying for!!! Other programs include Moodlogic (really good one) and Windows Media Player (free and included on most computers). Like I said there are many diffrent programs out there, just can search google or download.com for such programs.
  • its best that you use windows media player. ive used it since windows media player 7 came. and whenever i get a new song from a Cd or download it, it automatically searches the internet without letting me know. so its pretty cool. and if you download the Windows media 10 visualization from the player's site, then you can also get a pic of the album's cover when the song plays. and its free.
