I'm a 38 year old woman and have always had trouble reaching orgasm. I have tried finding the g-spot but it seems to make me want to urinate. What else can I try?

You're hitting the spot. It does make you feel like you have to urinate. Most women can reach orgasm by stimulating the clitoris. Maybe you can try that instead.

I think the feeling that you need to urinate means you've got the right spot! You just have to find the right amount of pressure and endure the need to urinate (it WILL go away after a few minutes and you'll be REALLY happy that you persisted).

First off, urinate BEFORE masturbation then you may not feel that way to the exteme.

Focus on your clit not looking for a g-spot.

you could always try having a partner (who knows what they're doing) go down on you.

Try a vibrator (not a dildo) and if you have a partner.. after you have found whether or not the virbator helps you.. include them in your play.

if you're know you're going to cum and you have that feeling of wanting to pee, it's your g-spot gland filling with fluid. women cannot pee when climaxing just like a man cannot pee when they climax. obviously you can squirt which is a wonderful way to be able to cum. it is not pee. it is a milky-clearish colored fluid that is not pee. some women can squirt a teaspoon up to a cup, and it can travel pretty far. maybe try it by yourself first with a toy or if your man is open to experimentation, lay down some thick towels and give it a go! how lucky are you?!?!?!

also, be relaxed - let yourself go - maybe do it in the bathtub so the urination feeling does not bother you as much and see what happens.

Sounds to me like you might have a relaxation problem. If you are tense and worried about trying to control the feeling that you need to urinate you will probably not achieve an orgasm.

Pee before you play. After you have done that you can be pretty sure that you don't need to pee. The approaching orgasm can resemble the urge to urinate. You need to relax and enjoy it. Try both clitoral and vaginal stimulation.

I have also heard that it helps if you slowly undulate your hips and body like you are making love. Those movements help you physically and mentally prepare for the orgasm. Don't concentrate so hard on getting off. Instead try to think about someone pleasuring you. It never hurts to fantasize. Imagine them doing everything you like and take your time.
