    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Yes, a Mexican woman married to a U.S. citizen living in Mexico has the right to the widow's Social Security benefit if the husband dies. The woman would have to apply for this benefit through the U.S. embassy or consulate.

The answer would be the same even if the couple were both american citizens living in Mexico. The Widow of an American citizen qualifies for Social Security.

What is a "Mexican Natonal"? Is that just a polite but firm and offical way of just calling someone a mexican?
