How would you feel if your partner spent all of his or her free time at work or church or the gym?

I mean if you were not with him at all and he went to these places alone. I mean if he prefers them over spending time with you. I mean when he actually sees you, he doesn't spend any time with you or give you any affection whatsoever.

It's not really how much time you spend together; it's how you make use of that time. We all need different amounts of attention from our spouses. Knowing he is engaged in activities that make him happy gets rid of some of the frustration of him spending less of his free time with you. This is the man you married and he was probably like this when you were dating, so to expect a change may have been naive. If you are asking this question because your husband doesn't seem to want to involve you in the activities you mention, then that's different. That might be cause for concern, and I can see why it would hurt your feelings.

I won't argue against your feelings, but I fear that if you cannot see something positive in someone with pursuits such as those, and ultimately leave the situation because of that, you may be far less pleased someday with the kind to whom you become drawn to instead.

I mean people who completely ignore their partners for outside interests. When they do see them, they don't show them any affection or spend any time with them whatsoever. That's what I mean.

Well people like that are on there way out. They maybe already seeing someone else aka cheating and don't do the right thing and let the other off the hook first.
