When they say "Derek Jeter went 3-for-5 with an RBI" what does that mean?

    In baseball when they say "Derek Jeter went 3-for-5 with an RBI", it is basically the same as saying that Jeter got three hits in five at bats and as a resultant of one of Jeter's hits, he scored someone else his team. An RBI stands for Run Batted In.
