When the credits at the end of a programme or film move too quickly (vertically or horizontally) why does it make my eyes hurt?

The retina makes images just like a camera roll and the brain fuses the images to see a continuos picture. If images on the screen movetoo quickly, the retina cannot produce each change of image. It is as if some of the photos in between are blank. The fusion of the images into a continuios film is then distorted and your eyes hurt as you see back and forth and not as a continuos lines. Remember the brain also has to fuse images from two rolls ie both eyes and overlap them

THis is a sign of your eyesight failing can you read the sub titles ok id go for an eyetest just to be on the safe side ok
