My computer has a virus that makes unwanted "search" pages pop up. How do I get rid of it?

    This sounds like spyware rather than I virus, get AdAware ( http://www.lavasoft.com/ ) and Spybot: Search & Destroy ( http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html ) both are free. They work much like anti-viruses but instead of hunting viruses they hunt spyware. Run them and you should be all set.
