Suicide Bombers is appropriate because they differentiate themselves from generic bombers by killing themselves in their attack.

Darth has it right. ALL bombers are "homicide bombers". Suicide bombers differentiate themselves by killing themselves in their act of bombing.

They should be referred to as "blasters" for a change coz they blast everything away including their bodies. If they have more powerful bombs ripping entire blocks of neighborhoods, then an appropriate name would be block-blasters, hmmm..

The word "homicide" in "homicide bomber" is a euphemism for "suicide". They don't call the guy who plants a bomb and runs away a homicide bomber. And if they did wouldn't it be redundant? As opposed to what? An "inflict only bodily injury bomber"?
