I close them... mostly because my body isnt what it used to be and it depresses me to see it.

I close my eyes when I'm kissing, not entirely sure why, but it feels wrong if they're open?

When it comes to sex, I use to have my eyes closed. This was because I'd be having sex with someone I didn't care about, and seeing us engaged in this highly intimate act was uncomfortable (most of the time it was with people that I saw regularly, but rarely spoke to face to face and hardly knew). Now I'm in a relationship with someone I love wholeheartedly, I prefer to keep them open. It's a sign of trust and it helps me enjoy it more to see what effect I'm having on my man! So now the only time my eyes close during sex is that moment of complete and utter bliss..

Nearly 80 percent of people enjoy kissing with their eyes closed.

    http://www.chatterbean.com/newsroom/Kissing_Quiz.php

I lost my consciousness for several seconds when a girl
kissed me. Well, kissing is a simple thing. Why should that
    happen?

    Beloved Kiss:

This is the one where time stops, the world disappears, your
thinking vanishes, and you become the kiss. You lose your
thoughts, judgment and all reason; you form one body and
live only for the other. This kiss is not for the faint
hearted and definitely not for those just along for the
    ride.

"My first real kiss came in the ninth grade, and all I
remember is feeling faint. Pretty wild stuff."

And, in all probabilities, you will go faint because the
blood in your veins will be rushing furiously into your
    entire system...

    A Kiss relieves tension:

....our emotions and body language are so closely linked...
your breathing becomes deeper and your eyes close when you
kiss; that's what you do when you relax. It's a perfect way
    to shut out the world..."

    http://www.datingmatchmakers.com/kissing/benefits-of-kissing.aspx

The excitement phase (also known as the arousal phase) is
the first stage of the human sexual response cycle. It
occurs as the result of any erotic physical or mental
stimulation, such as kissing ... Among both sexes, the
excitement phase results in an increase in heart rate
(tachycardia), an increase in breathing rate, and a rise in
    blood pressure.

Kissing not only feels good on your lips and in your nether
regions, smooching is actually beneficial to your health. As
two tongues touch, nerve endings fire off messages to other
parts of your body: various muscles clench, your lungs start
to work harder and your lips swell (who needs Botox?), to
name but a few. As your heart rate increases, your veins
dilate and all that rushing blood can make you feel hot and
sweaty. A French kiss requires the use of more than 30
facial muscles (bonjour!), toning your jaw and cheek, which
in turn reduces the likelihood of sagging chops.

    http://www.thesatinpillow.com/html/did_you_know_.html

Gradually, your heart rate increases. The neural cells in
your brain begin releasing endorphins - those feel-good
chemicals that give you a sense of euphoria as potent as a
    shot of 'morphine'.

    http://www.med.miami.edu/communications/som_news/index.asp?id=66

Anyone who has ever been kissed knows that the sensations
involved aren't confined to the mouth. Your facial nerve
carries impulses between your brain and the muscles and skin
in your face and tongue. While you kiss, it carries messages
from your lips, tongue and face to your brain to tell it
what's going on. Your brain responds by ordering your body
    to produce:

    * Oxytocin, which helps people develop feelings of
attachment, devotion and affection for one another

    * Dopamine, which plays a role in the brain's processing of
    emotions, pleasure and pain

    * Serotonin, which affects a person's mood and feelings

    * Adrenaline, which increases heart rate and plays a role in
    your body's fight-or-flight response

When you kiss, these hormones and neurotransmitters rush
through your body. Along with natural endorphins, they
produce the euphoria most people feel during a good kiss. In
addition, your heart rate increases and your blood vessels
dilate, so your whole body receives more oxygen than it does
    when you're just standing around.

Nearly 80% of people close their eyes when kissing.

    http://www.chatterbean.com/newsroom/Kissing_Quiz.php

A living being requires adaptation to the changing
conditions of external and internal environment. French
physiologist Claude Bernard proposed the law of Homeostasis
which states that constancy (or stability) of internal
environment is a necessary condition for a living being. It
uses its internal autonomous regulation systems to
accomplish this task. It may be noted here that the very
logic of 'constancy' prohibits development with time
required for a living being. In feedback control systems of
Electrical Engineering, existence of a negative component is
a must, and it is used as feedback to obtain automatic
control of a system. Accordingly, development (or growth)
should be called a 'disturbance' (or deviation) of
constancy, and it is programmed in the genes of a living
being for continuation of the species. The law of deviation
of Homeostasis was developed in 1979 by Soviet physiologist
    V.M. Dilman.

    [V.M. Dilman, The Grand Biological Clock, Mir Publishers, Moscow, 1989, p. 69 - 71].

Kissing is the first stage of physical intercourse that
triggers the Deviation of Homeostasis mechanism. Mental
pleasure is controlled by several body mechanisms.
Body and mind are now being accepted as one unit
    called psycho-somatic system.
