On One Hand: Conception During the Day
According to a fertility expert on BabyCenter.com, a man's sperm count is higher in the morning. Therefore, conceiving earlier in the day can be easier. Also, after a good night's rest, a man is more capable of doing his part when it comes to making a baby.
On the Other: Conception at Night
Late in the evening can be better because after ejaculation, it is recommended that a woman lie on her back for 15-30 minutes. This allows sperm to reach the fallopian tubes without having to fight gravity. Late evening may be the best time to conceive so a woman can rest afterward.
Bottom Line
The time of day does not determine how fertile a couple will be. The best way to time conception is by a woman's ovulation. Day or night should be determined based on when the couple can be relaxed and prepared to conceive.
