Nobody lives forever, not even Jehovah's Witnesses. Has anybody ever noticed, that the "end" (Armageddon) has been near for a long time now. When will it ever come?
-
As many as of any other religion.

In Acts 1:8, Jesus told his anointed, heaven bound disciples that they would be witnesses of him. He is called the faithful and true witness and stated himself that he came to witness to the Father, Jehovah. Hence, Jesus by his own confession was the primary of Jehovah's witnesses. Revelation 7 and 14 tells us that the number of witnesses bought from the earth is 144,000. That makes a total of 144,001 of Jehovah's witnesses going to heaven. The same Revelation 7 tells us that the number to survive the great trubulation and live forever on earth is a numberless great crowd. Both Isaiah 43:1-12 and Hebrews 12:1 tell us that an unnumbered body or 'cloud' of witnesses will be worthy of resurrection to life on earth. To tabulate: Witnesses going heaven--144,001 Witnesses living forever on earth-- unnumbered

144,000 go to heaven in order to be priests and kings to rule over the earth with Jesus during the thousand-year reign of Christ. The Bible says no one can number the ones that will be living on the earth. It will probably be into the billions though. And this is what they are now looking forward to under that rulership from heaven called Heavenly Jerusalem. What will result from the destruction of the present world system and its supporters? This will allow for a righteous rule earth wide in which the survivors will be able to work together unitedly, not in selfish competition. Down will come divisive national frontiers and political boundaries. Down will come tariff walls and tax barriers. Gone will be the crushing burden of military spending. And gone too will be the social barriers that keep mankind from being a united family on earth. A vital factor in all this will be that all then living will speak the ‘one pure language’ of truth to one another, worshiping their Creator “with spirit and truth,” undivided by religious superstitions, traditions and man-made creeds.—Zephaniah 3:8, 9 [Sophonias 3:8, 9, Dy]; John 4:23, 24.

I grew up a Witness and left organization when I was 17 and I am now 41. Heaven is determined by God. No one knows the number. Only God. Mysterious I know. That is God! :)

Acts 2:21 saids And everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved. Today there are over 7 million witnesses who have called on Jehovahs name. However Jesus said, that only a "little flock" will go to heaven. Years after his return to heaven, Jesus made known the exact number in a vision to the apostle John, who wrote: “I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand . . . who have been bought from the earth.” (Revelation 14:1, 3) The “Lamb” referred to here is, of course, Jesus Christ; and this “Mount Zion” is not on earth, but in heaven where Jesus is. (John 1:29; Hebrews 12:22) So the 144,000 are persons who die on earth as humans and are resurrected to heavenly life as spirit creatures, as Jesus was. (Romans 6:5) When compared with the 7 million of persons who live on earth, they are, indeed, a “little flock.” However, the “little flock” who go to heaven are not the only ones who receive salvation. As we have seen, they will have happy earthly subjects. Jesus referred to these as his “other sheep,” of whom “a great crowd”in which no man was able to number. These ones are faithfully serving Jehovah today.—John 10:16; Revelation 7:9, 15.
