Help answer this question below.
hi - i have two local disk drives for storage on my pc...
local disk (c) total size 14.4 gb. free size 1.77gb
local disk (d) total size 60.0 gb. free size 59.9 gb
i dont know why everything is stored in the (c) drive
my question is how can i use the (d) drive before the (c) drive is full and do i need to have my program files, windows folders etc seperate from everything else??
The reason everything is on your C drive is because it is your primary or master drive. Programs, files, etc all automatically save to that drive. I found a similar question on answerbag with an answer I think might help you. Here's the link...

Hope this helps,
cheers.
Also, you could just copy files to your D drive, drag and drop style (works for things like music librarys, video, etc) to free up some space on the C drive, or set certain programs to save to the D drive rather than the C. But leave your OS files on your C drive, because as your primary drive your system will automatically boot from that drive and without the OS files your computer won't boot up.
In this condition, there are too many junk files in your PC. You need to clean them and optimize Windows. You can freedown load Registry Winner and ie will provide a quick scan. (
