Are there any rules/church laws when it comes to "sealing" when a Mormon man or woman marries someone who already has children?

    There is nothing to prevent a couple from being sealed to each other as long as long as the woman is not sealed to another person. (Widowers are permitted to be sealed to a new wife. This is the only form of poligamy that is still allowed in the Church.) In the case minor children, before they can be sealed to the step-parent, they must receive permission from both of their biological parents (assuming that both have parental rights). In the case of adult children, then they can choose for themselves to be sealed to their step-parent.
