G'day Sleidmann, Thank you for your question. Generally, the restrictions during Passover relate to eating leavened food products and products made from flour most notably bread, cakes and even biscuits. Alternatives are used instead. For example, McDonalds restaurants in Israel use potato flour. It is also traditional that the house be thoroughly cleaned before Passover to remove any crumbs. It depends how strict you are. I asked my rabbi and he said that you're actually not allowed any kind of legumes because apparently they rise. so that means no products with soy. no rice, no pasta, i dont know how they do it. personally i think ill refrain from bread and thats probably it.
