The only reason WAS oil, they say they went to liberate, how about all the other oppressed people of the world that we turn a blind eye to. For some reason...we just happen to choose Iraq to liberate. It was said that they were a threat, why have we ignored North Korea. With any reason Bush supporters give, there is another example of that very situation being ignored elsewhere in the world. This war is to make the rich richer...nothing more.

oil!

I think that since first they said it was for weapons of mass destruction then they changed their minds and said liberation when that was proved crap - it was most certainly for oil. What about the people that need "liberating" in other countries that get ignored?

It wasn't for the right reasons. But I don't believe it was for oil. After all Bush ran three oil companies into the ground. And I know it wasn't for WMD. Since we gave Sadam his stock pile back in the 80's we knew exactly what he had. And where it was since we also helped to build the storage areas. Nor was he a world threat. If he was the other Arab countries would have assassinated him a long time ago. I think we invaded because Bush thought it would be an easy win. And he tricked our allies by making stuff up. What he didn't count on was the world's resistance to his actions. But if he didn't go in he'd look like an even bigger idiot. So now we're stuck with a big mess. As for the rich getting richer, that's just the bonus of any war. And we have always ignored the most greivous of actions by other countries. It's called good foreign policy.

I think it was a strategic move by the White House to take our attention off the search for Osama Bin Laden. It seemed like one day we were gung-ho to find the guy, then the next day we were declaring war on Iraq. Since the war, it seems you don't hear anything about Bin Laden anymore. Coincidence? Hmm....

It was all about the oil. Everything else were just false excuses to get there. Iraq was not connected to 9-11 or to Osama Bin Laden. He was not a threat to the USA or to any other Country. He was a criminal dictator who was abusing of his own people...That's true, but that's the same with many other leaders all over the world, specially in African Countries, and they have good relations with the US Government. Claiming that a government is a threat is not a legal or decent reason to invade a Country and to kill thousands of innocent people.

If it was oil, aren't we the fools since we're receiving none of it. Not only that. Iraq isn't even paying for it's own needs with it.

question frm a well oiled brain

People who say the war is for oil only show their own foolishness. We invaded Afghanistan FIRST and are still fighting there. And Afghanistan doesn't have anything except rocks, goats, and terrorists.

If representing the interests of Exxon are the right reasons, then, yes, of course, it was all done for the right reasons

Oil is only a bit of the icing on the cake. The government in league with certain other governments in league with the UN (who are all puppets of a higher secret power) all want to bring about a NWO with a one world government. The best way to do that is to fight an endless war on terrorism which has a faceless enemy.
