I don't think everyone is hypocritical. But when people are I think it may be because it's a lot easier to say something than to do it, and much easier to judge others than ourselves.

Very good question. No matter how hard we all try we still have flaws. I have been quilty of this before myself. I think most people have. I think it is human nature to do what we think is right at the time. Not thinking of what we did in the past.

Maybe they are not! Intellectually, it is tempting to be idealistic and altruistic. But, this mind set crashes when taken into the real world where others do not share your values. You adjust your actions to respond to them. I do not see this as hypocritical, just practical. All behavior is within human nature? N'est pas?
