I've been writing in my journal for about three years now. I started writing about my events throughout the day but grew tired of it, and actually found out my passion was poetry. It's got me through some of the hardest times in my life...i suppose in some ways its weird to turn to a journal, but sometimes theer's no one to turn to.

I'm 49 as of March 2007 and I started journaling when I was 20....lots of journals, memories and lessons! Sometimes I go back and reread some of the older ones...and I think..."OMG were YOU that damn dumb? Or, What were you thinking? Or, Whewwww...glad THAT'S over and I don't have to do it again anymore!"

I write off and on in my journal. For about 3 years.

Ive kept a journal for my son for 32 years . We get a good laugh at some of the things he forgot about when he was a kid and teenager and now that he has a daughter I have been keeping one for her for 4 years now.
-
Nope, although I probably should. There's so much to remember!
-
No !! I don't keep anything that can be used as evidence against me. LOL !!
-
No my life is so boring and repetitive that I would just have to write Ditto on each page. So it would not make very good reading in my old age.
-
I did for years... until I got married. I used to need a way to express myself and sort out my thoughts. Now I have someone I can talk to about anything I'm thinking, so I don't need the outlet anymore.

Only when it's homework

I think if I look at all my questions here on Answerbag it would be one heck of a Journal -- I have one but don't keep up with it like I should I don't know why this was downrated , but I fixed it Shelby
-
i have a journal to keep track of my progress as a musician, but that's where it ends.
-
I did at one time but eventually it seemed like too much of a hassle to keep it up.
-
I did for a long time after my divorce... even for a few years after I remarried, but then I stopped for some reason.
-
yes, but it's in my head.
-
Yes, I write to remember. (mostly appointments.) I also write my songs and tableture in it. along with ant thing particullarly exciting that happens. It would make for a good read.
-
Yeah. It's mostly pictures and some poetry, but there is writing, too.. just not always organized-looking.
-
Never do this unless it is very unimportant stuff and no dates, times etc. The government loves to find these types of things. And believe me they are looking.
-
Never.

I write one every now and then but I would rather speak to someone about my thoughts than write them down.
