  • With the new inclusions of third-party software allowed in Internet Explorer, its toolbars have become more customizable than ever before. From the command bar to adding third-party bars, the process of completing these tasks occur in a matter of seconds. The only thing you need is an idea for your customization and the right know-how to do it.

    Rearranging Bars

All of the toolbars in Internet Explorer can be moved by dragging and dropping from one location to another. This allows you to have their pick of how they want Internet Explorer to look. If you would like to move one bar over another, simply grab it in a spot that isn't occupied by a button and drag it until it moves to where you would like it. You can also combine bars to save space. The command bar can go at the end of the favorites bar, and the address bar can become part of the command bar. It is also easy to hide bars as well. Right-click on the empty space of the command bar and it will give you a list of the bars with checks next to the ones that are currently being displayed. To hide or display a bar, click on it. Dependent on what you clicked, the bar will either appear or disappear.

    Third-Party Toolbars

If you would like to add a weather report toolbar or instant messaging toolbar, the process is easy. Find the toolbar you wish to add and click the install button. It will run a short wizard to install it onto the computer. The next time you open Internet Explorer, it will appear as a toolbar at the top of your screen.
