According to testimonials from people who have purchased and installed them, hydrogen fuel boosters improve gas mileage, horsepower and clean carbon deposits from your engine. While improving the environment by not producing as much smog, the biggest reason to purchase a hydrogen fuel booster is to save cash at the gas pump, as you'll get much better mileage. Unfortunately, there have been no independent studies that confirm that hydrogen fuel boosters work, meaning you have to take the word of either people who bought the boosters or the people selling them. Obviously, this puts the consumer in a precarious situation, especially when some booster sets cost upward of $1,000. There's just not enough proof that the boosters really do work to make a decision on whether to spend the money on them. If they perform as well as advertised, the boosters are definitely worth the money, but there's a possibility that a lot of these fuel boosters are just scams. On One Hand: They Do Work
