In today's society and with the laws today unless you are in a state or province where the age of concent is 15 the guy could get in a lot of trouble.
If the parents approve of her dating him then there should be no problems what so ever. I do not believe the law should be involved here.
I personally am against the age of concent and age difference laws or the age of concent should be placed at puberty or about 12 for girls and 13 for boys as it was for thousands of years with no age difference requirements i.e. a 15 year old should be able to date and even marry a 23 year old.
