I know what would have happened if I pulled a stunt like that when I was married, but I'd advise getting all the facts before making any life-changing decisions or accusations. If he had the cojones to come home like that, he should have the cojones to tell you the truth.

This (to me) is inexcusable. Unless you know for a FACT he was abducted by the mafia, or something of the sort, I would seriously question what the hell he was doing. Two days with no phone call? That is inexcusable.

If I disappeared for two nights I had better have a DAMN good explanation (like being dead.) Having him gone for two days is bad enough, but if he comes in like nothing's wrong...then something's wrong. Grab him delicately by his num-nums, and say in a very sweet voice, "Okay, we're not going to hurt each other, are we? Now where were you?"

He's a CIA operative and you don't want to blow his cover... A) You could start a fight so surveillance thinks he's just a cheater. B) You could ignore it and so you don't draw attention to your own counter-operation C) You could get a divorce so that you can go about business without inter-agency conflict.

There is nothing to ask him....In todays world with cell phones and pay phones and email and text messaging. there is no reason why he should be that inconsiderate not to call/text/send smoke signals to let you know he is ok. Besides him being inconsiderate (and downright mean) for not calling, he had to have laid his head somewhere over the past 2 days and it wasn't in YOUR marital bed next to YOU. Have a think about who he was laying his head next to for the past 2 days. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news honey, but don't think it is ever to late to leave.
