You could sue and most likely win. You could pull him out of the program and have a stern word with the operators. However, I'd read over any paperwork you signed and make sure you didn't overlook lines like 'care may be considered as scripture lessons'. Before you do anything, however, consider how your brother feels. Does he understand what was being taught to him? Does he seem to like it? Does he agree with it? The last thing a family should do is deprive a child of pursuing an experience. I'm atheist too so I know how that must feel, but at the same time I'm all for free choice. Good luck, Hope this helps

Have a little chat with the child and explain it. That only some people believe in such things and they need to have everyone else believe the same things because is what they think is right. I would contact a lawyer. I don't think the child will be damaged. Always read the fine print.

Frist, make SURE you didn't overlook something in any kind of paperwork. Second, pause, while I take a moment to growl with anger and mutter about "stupid Bible pushers." Third, sue. You might just win. Fourth, alert news stations. They'll have a field day with that, and it might help you win.

This is more of a comment than an answer and might I add not to offend anyone but as I read these answers I hear that religious people or looked upon as they view their religion whatever it might be is being the supreme and right thing and that everyone else, different faiths or agnostic or even athiest are wrong. I am a christian and I do not profess or judge anyone in how they believe or what they believe. I am a Christian because I find comfort in believing there is someone or something bigger than myself that loves me unconditionally. I do not feel with me it is about being RIGHT but finding contentment in my heart and my mortaility. Just an observation not right or wrong.

I'd fire up the lawyer-mobile and sue them for everything they're worth. Get the other parents involved too, if you can. It'd make a great class action suit. Even thought I believe in religion, well, all religions really, forcing it in such a way is not only wrong, but illegal... and blasphemous. One of the VERY few things that (the Cristian or Catholic) God himself said (not a follower) that must be followed was "Honor thy mother and father." They're spat at God himself for going against that, even if the child's mother is an Atheist, that's her right, by law and god, to teach her child, without harming him, as she sees fit. And I have no reason to believe that she has harmed him in any way, shape or form. Sorry for the long answer, but this pissed me right off that someone did this. EDIT: lol, I just realized how old this question is. I hope things turned out ok.
