  • Provillus is a hair growth product for men and women. The hair loss industry is a 3.5 billion dollar a year business, as of 2007, according to the American Hair Loss Association. What consumers need to know is that 99 percent of all products on the market are either a complete scam or have other concerns.

    FDA Approval

Provillus claims to contain a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved ingredient. They do. The scam is that the ingredient is Minoxidil, which people can buy directly, for a fraction of the cost of Provillus, according to the American Hair Association.

    Misleading

By touting the FDA approved ingredient in the advertisement for Provillus, this company is leading people to believe that the FDA approves Provillus. Only two medical treatments have FDA approval---Minoxidal and Propecia.

    False Claims

Provillus lists a variety of herbal ingredients and vitamins, none of which are FDA approved. The blend of herbs and vitamins in Provillus is, at best, a nutritional supplement, not a hair loss treatment, according to the American Hair Loss Association.

    Seal of Approval

If a hair loss product is not FDA approved, as opposed to having an FDA approved ingredient in it, or does not have the American Hair Loss Association certification seal, do not buy it.

    Full Refund

At ProvillusScam.com, an advertisement for Provillus disguised as a scam website, the claim is that you will get a full refund if you are not satisfied, simply by returning the product within 90 days. However, the real guarantee is that you must return any unused and unopened item within 90 days for a refund less a $10 restocking fee.
