Help answer this question below.
According to Phiten (the company that manufactures the Phiten necklaces), the titanium-infused tape that the necklaces are made with can positively affect the ions in your body to promote well-being and rid you of ailments. Science has not found any concrete physical evidence that the actual structure or material of Phiten necklaces affect your body's chemistry, as Phiten claims.
The human brain is a very powerful organ and can actually convince your body that you feel better than before you were wearing the necklace, if you believe it wholeheartedly. This is an example of the placebo effect, which is used in many medical trials. Patients who take a placebo, but think they are receiving actual treatment, sometimes feel an improvement in their condition--even if short lived.
Phiten necklaces may not be the next medical miracle, but if you believe that you will be healthier as a result of wearing one, then you just might be healthier. The human body is run by the complicated and powerful brain. If you believe something completely, your body will follow suit.
