I loved the book Perfume because of the brilliance of the writers ability to use mere words to create smell. You could smell it! No colour, no graphics, just lines of text that came to life. I don't know if I want to see what he smells, or see who this man is. What more can I gain from this movie, an image version of a well accomplished novel?
