  • Am I allowed to push the cork through to the inside of the bottle? If so, I'd do that. If not, how tight is the cork? Some more ideas: Thread a very strong titanium mesh around one side of the cork, capture the dime in it, and pull to one side of cork. Teleportation. Turn dime into individual atoms, have them flow through the cork while suspended in water.
  • I guess I would remove the cork, dump the dime out, and place the cork back into the mouth of the bottle.
  • take out the cork, and then put it back in.
  • Melt a hole in the side or bottom of the bottle... the glass will melt but the dime won't, since a dime is composed of 97% copper, and copper has a melting point of about 1900 degrees F!
  • remove the cork with an Ah So! type opener (pronged so that it slides along the sides of the cork). remove dime. grumble about cheapskates. replace cork easily with Ah So! type opener. wipe down the bottle to remove fingerprints.
