According to several sources, the average daily adult female requirement (RDA) for protein is between 46 to 50 g. Under the age of 14 the requirements are about 10 g less. One can meet these requirements by eating the equivalent of 6 oz. of meat or fish, 4 cups of yogurt, 3/4 cup of cottage cheese, 8 large eggs, 5 oz. of cheese, or 1/4 cup of nuts.
