  • No, I don't believe so. I'd go further and say these sorts of ads should be banned. We are told to "Just Say No" but fed a constant diet in print, on the radio and on television of "there's a pill for that" Funny stuff eh? Big pharma spends huge amounts of money advertising drugs and lobbying to secure it's prophets while worthwhile research and development goes wanting. That tells me we have our prioritize wrong.
  • I don't think any advertisement is a good practice. The most insidious are the "product placements" inside movies and tv shows.
  • It's probably not a good idea when patients come in to see the Doc asking for a specific drug...
  • Yes. It can remind someone that they should do something about their health that they've been putting off (or at least check into it). Also, if they see something that can help them it might give them the motivation to see a doctor. It's all good as long as the doctor still does everything he needs to do and doesn't just blindly write out a prescription.
