  • Up to a point, I support the return of these items. However, if taken to an extreme, almost any object was probably obtained from another culture if you go back far enough. Also, I think the more representations of different cultures are spread throughout the world, the more we can begin to unerstand each other.
  • If the person who took the artifact had permission from the landowner to dig up his property and cart away anything he found, then it belongs to the archaeologist. The national government has no claim on that artifact unless it was national government property that was stolen or recorded as lost but not written off on the ledgers.
  • Of course i do, do you know that the famous museum of paris louvre has many ancient greek exhibits and not only? so you visit france to see exhibits from all countries other than france. Also as a greek man i do not like going abroad and watching my legacy at other countries. I cannot understand why other countires feel proude to exhibit my country's stuff. Ok i will steal an american's car, return to greece and be proud to show to the amerocans that i have a car that belongs to them. Clever?
