If you are young enough to worry about appearing "childish and immature" you may well be at an age where sexual experimentation would make you vulerable. Guys are encouraged culturally to "sow their wild oats". Yet sexually active girls or girls who have slept around as much as guys have are called sluts or worse. (Girls lose both ways. No sex, no boyfriend. Sex? He has social ammunition to use against her, because he gets no reprimand for being sexually active, and she does.) This may not be the case with you and him at all, but make sure you're fully confident and fully empowered with whatever you do. Don't do something because you want love and approval, do something because you trust and love him, and he's given you good reasons to do so. If you've suffered from emotional ups and downs, as many girls do growing up, be especially careful. You don't want to do something one day and regret it the next, and you have years to figure these things out.
