  • No clue, other then to provide a place for those who choose to go there of their own will. God did everything to insure that those who would like not to go there would be capable of “finding” the way. He urged and pointed a “way to go” to get to Heaven. But He also wanted to make sure that the choice is ours, not His. Nobody gets there (Heaven or Hell) accidentally. Deuteronomy 30:19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!" He has also reserved a “spot” in our soul which will instinctively seek Him by setting sense of eternity in out hearts Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." And finally, I think that Hell was prepared for Satan and his demons, however, there are those that can’t wait and are hell bent to get there by their own choice. Matthew 25:41 “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons." He also made a promised those that believe in Him. Matthew 16:8 "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Why did God create Hell? Consider this. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." I guess for those that don’t fit the description of whoever?
  • Jesus said that the lake of fire is "prepared for the devil and his angels."(Matthew 25:41) Christ created the lake of fire for Satan and the angels that joined him to be their eternal punishment. God didn't create it for man. Man sends himself there by his rebellion against God(a.k.a. sin). Only Jesus Christ can save us from sharing the same fate as Satan and his angels. Only His blood can cleanse our sin and justify us before a Holy God. Thank you and God bless you!
  • Man makes the hell
  • Justice in this world is very imperfect. Many get away with unrighteousness such as lying, cheating or even murder. At the same time many who relentlessly pursue righteousness either go unrecognized or even suffer as a result. The concept of the hereafter is where the balance will be set right and everyone will get true justice. The Holy Qur’an (HQ) says in HQ 21:47 “And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners.” God has given mankind free will but in His compassion and wisdom He has provided man with guidance as well. He has also described for mankind what lies on the road to heaven and what lies on the road to hell so as to urge him to make the right choice. Regarding those who stubbornly choose the wrong path God says in HQ 43:76 “We wronged them not, but they it was who did the wrong.”
  • Someone asked the Christian Guidance Department of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's the same question: Q: "If God loves us so much, why would He ever send a person to a place like hell?" A: "It is not God's desire that any person should suffer an eternity in hell. The Bible says, "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). "Hell was prepared originally for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). However, God will not force anyone to go to heaven. If a person willfully refuses to repent of sin and turn to God, with faith in Jesus' sacrifice for the sins of the world, God has no alternative. Justice demands that those who disregard and reject God's loving offer of pardon will pay the penalty for their own sins forever in hell. "Has this question caused you to delay making a choice to follow God? Choose eternal life now! The Bible says, "Now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2)."
  • "Hell" in the Bible refers to the grave. God did not create a place to burn people. Romans 6:23 "The wages sin pays is death,..." According to the bible the punishment for sin is death, and when we die we're buried. We're in the grave. Romans 6:23 ",...but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord." You can't burn forever unless you live forever. According to the Bible, everlasting life is NOT something we possess automatically. It is a gift. God would not grant eternal life in order to torture you. Eccl.9:5 "For the living are counscious that they shall die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all,..." Those who die are 'unconscious'. They cannot be tormented. In Revelation the bible mentions a 'lake of fire' but then swiftly declares, "this means the second death, the lake of fire". It also says that 'death and hell' will be 'cast into the lake of fire'. It is reasonable to conclude that this is not a literal 'lake of fire'. Your question is a good one. (Points!) "Hell" is a horrible teaching, and it dishonors our Creator.
  • He didn't make a fiery hell. Hell is the same as Hades, or Sheol. It's simply the grave. It's dead, buried, in a memorial tomb of God's memory. No torture, just dead. Romans 6:23 says "The wages sin pays is death" Once you die, that's the wage paid out.
  • when man was created in the beginning and had he not sinned, there was no need for hell to exist. upon adam sinning and bringing death to mankind, hell was necesitated for the purpose of burying all those that die. since hell is the common grave of mankind and not the fiery oven/lake of fire false religion teaches, the bible teaches that one day hell will no longer exist. at that point mankind will have attained eternal life here on earth, and thus the reason for no longer needing hell to exist since adamic death and sin will be forever extinguished, and no need for burying any dead.
  • Hell is a place for the devil and the evil of the world. It is not our birthright under His anointing... It was never created for us, but you bet that devil will try to drag as many of us down with his as possible simply because he hates us and misery loves company. Hell is just a place... Wether or not you go there, is up to you. God gave us free will because he loves us. He gave us hell, for the devil and his angels. A better question might be; Why then did God create the Devil?
