If it were framed that way, clearly the violence. As we know from Tiger Woods, if the "transgressions" go the other way, it is the adultery. I learned from my divorce, that if the GIRL leaves it is because the guy is an asshole. If the GUY (me) leaves, it is because the guy is an asshole. The way of the world.

the beating. Cheating happens so often its insane (whats the world coming too), but to lose ur head like that is against the government... And if u do something against the gov't, it becomes more publicly known. Notice though, that i dont say beating someone is worst then cheating nor that cheating is worst then beating someone =/

Assault and battery is considered a more serious crime than adultery.

Cheating is now part of the troubled marriage, so It's no big deal nawadays. Domestic Violence will make story. She might cheat because of the mean husband.

The beating in "a bloody rage, sending her to hospital". Domestic violence is horrible even if it's what you might call mild. In that situation it is despicable. Adultery can be an awful thing for the "victim", but there is no excuse for that kind of violence.

Both should never have happened. Domestic violence and assault is a crime. Adultery is not a crime.
