Why is war a priority but the basic needs of the American people and our infrastructures aren't?

War is basic needs. Think of all the USA people who work in the weapons factories. And the peoples on Double-You-All-Street who get to play with the stocks of those companies.

Because the "good old boy" network can turn a profit off of war. Feeding the American people and supporting our infrastructures costs money.

If you guys honestly think the war(s) are what you need to worry about, think again. This entire global warming scam is being used as the basis to essentially create a central worldwide authority to tax and regulate all business, industry, energy, land usage, and more, at Copenhagen. We'd all be at the mercy of an unelected international board for everything from buying a car to watching TV. Don't believe me? Read the draft of the treaty. It usurps our own constitution even. Do NOT let this happen. It's one-world government. We will never be able to rebuild this country if we do it.

Simple, Most people find out what is going on by watching the News. The news told everybody 9 years ago that the most important thing in your life is being safe from terrorist. people agreed, and started a war After that, they showed you videos of Osama Bin Laden threatening you every time you got distracted and started to ask questions about domestic issues. Now that people are starting to ask about domestic issues, they are saying that you don't want basic needs taken care of, or infrastructure fixed, because that will lead to "socialism". So, now they have gathered groups to protest against giving basic needs to people, they don't want you to use there tax money to feed the poor, or give health care. They have also started a non-profit group called "Keep America Safe" and there job is to make sure that you are concerned about your safety, and not domestic issues, and that you support the war machine named KBR, McDonnell Douglas, and all the other government contractors that are making billions, and don't want that money used for basic needs Besides, the CEO needs a new private jet

Excellent question! Interest groups in the US want to maintain their own power: by spending huge amounts of money on war they keep external threats at bay, whilst ensuring any potential internal threat (e.g. the call for an equitable taxation system) is minimized. (Poorly funded education and health systems ensure the vast majority of people are just too busy surviving to make a fuss.)

If you can figure out a way to fill the basic needs of the American people and take care of our infrastructures all the while insuring that War Profiteers continue to rake in the big bucks....
