  • I love cast iron. Its the best.
  • I love using cast iron cookware. Nothing like it. If used correctly, heat distributes evenly, excellent for saute', roasting. stews etc.... I'm a professional Chef and I highly recommend cast iron cookware. Unless you have an electric stove... Then don't bother.
  • I do not do enough cooking . I find cast iron very heavy.
  • Cast iron is great. So long as the wares are seasoned correctly, you shouldn't get much sticking more than any other cookware. And where did you hear that modern pots are "toxic"?
  • Properly prepared cast iron is the best, but it is heavy. Aside from that, it can't be beat. If you don't want the weight, go stainless with a good core material. "Saladmaster" is a good product - not cheap.
