If you don't believe in Ra he will throw you into a pit of snakes, If you don't obey Allah he will burn you, if you don't accept Jesus he will torment you, if you don't obey Shiva he will karmically whip your ass, the list goes on. Either way, we are all screwed if any of these myths are true.

I disagree, most gods don't require you to forsake all others they simply require you to serve them. And no god is pleased by a complete forsaking of all gods. - The best insurance against divine retribution is to know which God is real and what He expects from us. - The second best insurance is to hedge your bets, live your life in such a way as to please the most gods. - The disbelief in any gods profits nothing, unless it is true and you allow that disbelief to fuel your passion for conquering death (so that you will never be obliterated)
