  • Yes. My mother passed away and I took some of her old photos. One photo was my great, great grandmother or so I thought. Until my uncle pointed out that it was a photo of a different woman.
  • Yes. I have my father's parents, photo albums, complete with pictures of people that I have no clue who they were. People that have been long dead before I was born. I got an aunt's photo albums when she died as she had no other family. My father's personal albums when he died. So many people that either only known by name, or not known at all. I even have some plates from pictures made in the 19th century.
  • I have 4 large steel trunks full of photo albums and loose photographs. Plenty of people in those photographs I can recognize but have passed away, plenty I can recognize but have grown a lot older and still plenty more about whom I simply no clue as to who they are.
  • No. My mother still has all of those.
  • Yes I have some photos, I looked at one recently taken in the 1930's and it shows my grandfather as a young man. He died aged 55 from a smoking related illness and I never knew him. It also had a picture of a woman who was in her 80's when I was growing up, she was a neighbour of mine, she must have been around 17 or 18 in the photo and she was very attractive. There are still people to be identified in the remaining photos.
