it'a completly up to yourself, what you like, what you are ready to spend, better question would be, which camera offers best return for money. Well I will say, better to define first our need and it's pointless to spend on somthing which offers more than needs. Next thing you can do is go on such sites where you can compare models, features, prices and get best deal for you. e.g. http://www.best-discount-deals.co.uk/ I hope that helps. There is no direct answer for the question but you can look for some great brands and bestseller too. e.g. Canon, Nikon or Sony.

There is a huge variety out there these days, and which one is best is not all that easy. If you want to stick to a brand name, then Canon and Nikkon are the top of the industry in terms of high end photography. You will not find a professional with anything other than one of those two brands, so if you want a 'safe bet', then stick with those brands as you can be sure that the top end technology feeds through to the lower end camera's eventually. Personally, for me it is Canon.
