The liberal journalists at the dinosaur publications such as Time and Newsweek are bitter about losing their jobs in a dying industry that did not keep up with the times, so they project the whole situation as bearing down on everyone. They need to grow up.

No. The most recent bad times are always the worst. We tend to forget how bad times actually were as we age. Some of the worst times occured before we were born. What about the middle ages? Even the wealthy had it hard compared to modern times.
