It's my feeling that the Macy's Parade has become too "artsy". They spend a lot of time focusing on cast performances promoting Broadway shows instead of on the actual parade. Added to the fact that the celebs hosting the parade never seem to shut up. I may tune in from time to time, but if they are singing and dancing, I won't watch.

I doubt it. If I'm changing channels when it's on, I may stop and watch a couple minutes. This is something my family did all the time I was growing up. I've never retained the interest in it. I also marched in parades in a Marching band in HS and College (although this isn't really noteworthy).
