If your mom is undemanding, she is probably always making sure you guys get more and is getting less for herself and is far less likely to be impressed by the gift as she will be by the thought that gave it.

No ideas about prices in India, but how about some pampering (massage, manicure, pedicure) at a salon. I know this would cost more than 25 USD in most western cities, but i have also seen places where it could be done for this, just don't know India.

Since she seems selfless, might she appreciate it if you donated the money in her nme to charity she might support, explaining that you were motivated to do so by her selflessness.

Back to giving her some pampering, how about bringing in a maid to do all the work for a day (again, I have no idea what that would cost in India.

It seems you love and admire her a great deal. How good are you with words. Might not a poem or even a "certificate" telling her how you feel and why mean far more to her than anything you could buy even if you had 25 thousand, not 25, to spend?

you could get her a kurthi top..or maybe something like a clutch you kno..or a hand bag. How about some nice cosmetics..?? theres the world to choose from for women..both cheap n xpensive.
