If your needs are than basic, even a netbook would work for you. Of them, I feel that the best value is the Acer Aspire One. It offers decent quality and speed for under $350 (considerably under if you shop around). If a 10.1" screen is too small for you, other Acer laptops are similarly decent and inexpensive. Acer is not the best system out there, but they are solid machines. The main reason I like them so much is that they manage to sell for so little without sacrificing speed, power, or reliability. Since you are not after power or speed, I am going to assume that you want reliability and value. My opinion is that Acer is your best bet for that. Asus may be cheaper, but they are sluggish as hell.

Well check out this website. I got my desktop from them for gaming, but I have not had a problem with it and I have had it for two years. I have had a Toshiba, hp, and dell I always ran into problems. Plus customer service sucks for these companies. This company will customize the computer for you and stuff and I have actually called and spoken to a real human that spoke my language without being on hold forever. So..just though I would throw it in for ya. Good luck !!+4 http://www.ibuypower.com/
