    Who is to say that the rocks are not alive and we are no more than mere insects on it's skin? Are we so vain to think that all life is carbon based and, even so, that we're the most intelligent carbon life form in the universe? Let alone non-carbon based life.

    NO that is such crap. We barely live in 30% of America. Humans being pact animals with hive mentalities tend to live on top of each other. There are less people in the world that their are ants in a African ant farm. The Earth wouldn't even know we where here. +2
