No official passport as in the type humans need. They sometimes need a medical certificate that they are not carrying a disease and/or certification that they have specified shots, etc. Best to study up on this if you plan to take your pet along on vacation.
I believe, don't know, that it depends on the country. All countries have some type of medical exam and/or quarantine requirements(up to 6 months in some places) that need to be completed before the animal is allowed in. I have a friend that lived in Greece for several years and acquired a dog which he wanted to bring back to the States. He actually showed me a US Animal Passport for the dog. Most of it contained results of medical information, but it was a real US passport, complete with pictures and paw print.
Another friend imported his sons 2 dogs from Germany./ Lots of paperwork, shots, and documents but no "official passport" that I know of.
