I would like to see voting on ideas instead of on people who promise things they don't do anyways or who might have 1 good idea and 10 bad ones.
Actually, voting for government officials is the practice of democracy.
The breakdown of a democracy is when those elected officials do not act in the best interest of the people who voted for them.
All people elected to a government office should be required BY LAW to perform exactly true to their statements made when running for that office and being a true representative of the people that voted them into that office.
The personal opinions of an elected representative are worth absolutely nothing, but sadly most of them forget they were elected to represent the wishes of the people of their district.
