Question

Help answer this question below.

I just got a PS3 and was able to get it to work on an older LCD w/ the standard A/V cables. When I then hook it up to a Sony Wega LCD (720p / 1080i) w/ component cables, I am only getting a blank screen. Any ideas?

change the settings to 1080i in the video settings of PS3 startup screen

when your ps3 is off turn it on by holding power button about 5-10 seconds. u will hear piip sound then it askes if u want to use new cable that it has detected. answer yes then it works.
