  • It sounds like the child may be sick. Check its temperature and see if you can get any liquods in it.
  • It could be that the child is reacting to something he had today. That isn't uncommon. Many mothers can't even eat cabbage themselves while they are nursing without the child being gassy all night. My own child never ate peanuts and developed an allergy to them because I was eating them. That little immature digestive tract is awfully sensitive, and most of the immune system is in the digestive tract. I'd guess your child is either sick or is reacting to a food he ate today. And by the way, you can eat something and be fine several times, and then react suddenly on the fourth or fifth or even hundredth exposure. Allergies develop over time.
  • Most likely it is just a phase the child is going through. It will pass. First off when did you notice the change in their behavior? To help ease off on the screaming. Have a cup of water and a couple crackers set by the bed at night when you put the child to sleep. you can even put some peanut butter in the middle of them if you want. It wont spoil if it doesnt get ate untill 2 or 3 in the morning when the child wakes up screaming. Eventually they will just want a snack before bed and will no longer wake screaming in the middle of the night. try it.. it could work.
